In Your Face Exhibit

I recently had a self portrait included as part of the In Your Face exhibit at the Eco Offices for Providence Gallery Night, produced by the Hive Archive.  It was a fun exhibition to be a part of because a self portrait can be expressed/interpreted in so many ways.  The only restrictions for this installation, made up of works by women and girls both globally and locally, was the size.  The medium could be anything, such as the one below made of bird seed, which was on of my favorites.
Here is my self portrait, including a frame I made with artwork by Papaya::
This installation has been extended and now includes a lecture series.  In addition, local photographer Gregory Shumchenia, has asked me along with other artists from In Your Face and New England to be part of his next exhibition featuring 100 artists photographed with their work.  Kind of a self portrait of your self portrait.  It should be interesting and I will post pics when it is finished sometime in the beginning of April.

Love this! As always I am amazed that you make the time for all your creative and volunteer pursuits, while also working full time and taking care of two little ones! O'Rya
